Can Creativity Be Taught and the Hysteria Continues

With a new record done and my first book coming out early next year, lately I often ask myself, "What's next?" I've recently been writing poems, demoing new songs and watching instructors on Masterclass to try and help spur on some of the creative juices. Then I wonder, can creativity be nudged out of us or do we have to patiently wait for the muse? Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I felt inspired to talk a little bit about the mystery of the creative process. I talk about some of my struggles with creation and I share some new lyrics I wrote for a new song. I play a clip from a recent Joe Rogan podcast where he talks about the value of creativity. I share some thoughts about Masterclass, U2 and Adele and how happy I was when Adele spoke out against Spotify's sneaky algorithm that automatically "shuffles" records.
