I often wonder if anyone really cares about what you and I are doing. I mean sure, in the moment, it may appear like people "care" when we get a text or someone leaves a comment on a FB post. There's a certain rhythm in our day to day lives, but are we all just fragments in space? Even Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest athletes of all time, shocked us all by tragically passing away earlier this year. Now that a few months have passed and we're caught up in Covid-19, does anyone really care anymore? Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I felt inspired to talk about values and what brings us meaning in our day to day lives. I was moved listening to Marc Maron's recent podcast where he honors his late girlfriend, Lynn Shelton who just passed away from a blood disorder. I play a clip from a Masterclass episode where David Sedaris talks about the value of observation and being awake. if you stare at your phone and Netflix all day, are you truly awake? I also talk about a fascinating article in The Intercept called, Screen New Deal. If you enjoy the show, there are a few things you can do that would be incredibly helpful.
