Beyond Your Bubble

It's more comfortable to believe you always have the answer. It's more comforting to trust the media and trust that they're telling us the truth. It's probably easier and safer to live inside a little bubble you've created but it's starting to feel like we live in a world where people are incable of looking past the obvious. Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I talk about looking beyond what's directly in front of you. It's easy to see Covid-19 as the greatest impediment in our culture, but can we look beyond that? What if I told you 375,000 people die each year from drowning. What if I said 2,000 children are kidnapped every single day and what would happen if the media focused on these issues instead of Covid -19? I also share some inspiring words from Kevin Hart and I play a clip of the Marc Maron show where Jim Carrey talks about the toxicity of social media and people's insatiable need to feel "famous."
